Seeking respite from the hustle and bustle of KL? It might be hard to believe that such a tranquil oasis even exists in smoggy KL. But not far from the city centre you can find the Lake Gardens, featuring 60 hectares of lush gardens that are perfect for exploration on foot or by boat. Established in 1888, the gardens are also home to a Butterfly House, Bird Park and special orchid and hibiscus gardens.

The gardens are open daily from 9am to 6pm and admission is free, although charges do apply for some of the attractions within.
